Patient on regular exercise after MI Date: 01-March-2010
History: This 46 years old gentleman, was admitted on 26 Dec. 2003 c/o breathlessness and mild chest pain (upper retrosterminal – not radiating) to cardiology block.
ECG : variation STin V1-V4
ECHO : Doppler evaluation done.
TMT: done 3 times, result: -ve
Blood Reports:
26/12/03 Lipid profile & RBS was high ( LDL > 300)
Diagnosis: A/C AW MI (TT), Previous IW MI (silent).
Family:
Wife: Age 40, (house wife).
Children 2 (students).
Siblings: 3 brothers (Healthy no history of cardiac disease)
Father: died at the age of55 yrs. c/o MI h/o HT ; 4 brothers and 2 sisters ( healthy).
Mother : healthy
Grand Father: died at the age of 80 yrs. (suspected MI)
Food Habits: No diet control. Used to have heavy meal 3 times daily and snacks in between. Food include; red meat fried fish and other junk foods.
Smoking: occasional (once in a week)
Alcohol: occasional (for parties- once in a month)
Exercise : Nil.
Treatments given at hospital:__________
Post MI life style:
Diet: strict diet control. Only steamed food, no red meat, no fried food, a lot of leafy vegetables (steamed) and salad was included in diet.
Exercise: Regular exercise as per doctor’s advice. Walking: after 1 month of the event. Running: after 1 year of the event (6km daily in the morning 6am – 6:45am).
Medication: _____
Follow up: On regular follow up with the cardiologist (once in 6 months)
Final Result: The patient is very healthy, energetic and diagnosed to have no symptoms of any ailments.
